UFR MIM
The "Unité de Formation et de de Recherche - Mathématiques, Informatique, Mécanique" (UFR MIM) was created in 1995. It is a component of the College Sciences and Technologies of the University of Lorraine. It now has more than 1200 students enrolled in the various courses offered by the UFR. Its courses are part of the European framework of higher education LMD (License, Master, Doctorate). The UFR MIM offers training in the following areas: Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering Sciences, Materials, Civil Engineering, Logistics, Hydraulics and Automation. Selective courses (Bac +5) are also proposed as the Cursus Master in Engineering (CMI) who benefit from a national label (Network FIGURE). All its training courses, based on know-how and experience acquired over many years, aim to prepare future graduates for a good professional integration into professions related to these different disciplines. |

LEM3
The LEM3 is a Joint Research Unit #7239 CNRS - Université de Lorraine - Arts et Métiers ParisTech, mainly attached to the "Institut des Sciences de l'Ingénierie et des Systèmes" (INSIS) CNRS. The fields of activity of LEM3 concern Materials, Mechanics, the study of Microstructures and Processes. LEM3 is at the level of the best international teams on many subjects, in particular: plastic and thermoplastic instabilities, phase transformations, characterization and evolution microstructure and texture under thermomechanical treatments, intelligent materials, multi-scale modeling, self-organization of crystalline defects, surface integrity obtained by mechanical processes, dynamic behavior of materials, engineering for health, high-speed machining, buckling and vibration structures, dynamics of materials behavior, micromechanical modeling, numerical methods.

CNRS
